The ALCA History Project

The ALCA History Project
Volunteers needed!

Founded in 1967, the Arts Center has a rich, vibrant, and treasured history, which is important to our ALCA supporters, and the Adirondack community and visitors we serve. Much effort and work has been done to preserve this history, and we are seeking to build on these past efforts. Will you help us?

We are seeking volunteers to help continue these past efforts in preserving the history of the Arts Center. One goal is to continue to review the "back room" at the Arts Center, which includes photos, articles, publications, and documents; as well as reviewing the downstairs existing library of photos and historical documentation. With interviews, organization, and writing, our intent is to incorporate more of the history and photos of the Arts Center into the ALCA website, our public events, and in our fundraising.

We hope you will be interested in helping us with The ALCA History Project, whether it be with an interview, helping to organize, or with your writing skills. Please contact Development General Director Jean-Marie Donohue if you would like to help, or for more information, at jean-marie@adirondackarts.org or 518-352-7715.
