Channeling the spirit of classic country, American singer and songwriter Brock Gonyea brings the sound of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams into a contemporary country setting with his 2021 debut Where My Heart Is.
Born and raised in Tupper Lake in upstate New York, music surrounded Gonyea as a child; his father, grandfather, and uncle played bluegrass and folk, and passed on traditional songs to him. His love of old-time country prompted him to take on covers of original songs and post them to his social media channels. A cover of Faron Young's "Hello Walls" went viral and caught the attention of Brynn Arens, who flew Gonyea to Nashville to start putting together some songs. A meeting with Big Machine followed and in 2020 he inked a deal with the label. Drafting in some of the best players from Nashville's country scene, Gonyea started to work on what would become his debut EP.…
