About The Event

Ranger Lessons in Survival: The Code They Keep

Joel George interviews his dad, Greg George, on life lessons for survival, learned from his 33 years as a Ranger in the woods and field, working through fires, floods, rescues. Leading by example, and building trust, Greg shows his teams through action and details how to adapt, prepare, and stay alive: "Preparation isn't optional, it's survival." Though told through life as a Ranger, much of it applies to everyone, every day, in the Adirondacks.

BML Fire Chief, Greg George, formerly a Forest Ranger for 33 years, will speak to us about survival, as he does to his teams, through a guided interview and conversation with his son, Joel.
