Winter Benefit for the Arts at Minnowbrook

Join us for an exciting evening dinner and cocktail party, complete with a silent auction and musical entertainment. ARTS EXCURSION: Twelfth Night at the Red House

Take a trip down to the Red House to see Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. One of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, listen to the classic jazz songs of the 1950s and keep the beat for this tuneful, topsy-turvy tale of of mistaken identities and foiled lovers. When the Rat Pack meets the Bard it’s very funny, very romantic, and very, very cool man. Way cool!
Van leaves at 1:00 pm from the AC, eat dinner with members of the cast at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub and Restaurant, and then enjoy VIP seats for the production.

“Forever Wild” Skit Writing Workshop

Join us for a series of three workshops to write and develop your own hilarious and satirical skits about life in the Adirondacks. All the skits developed in the workshop will be featured in this year’s “Forever Wild” production at the AC in June. The course will be team taught by Alex Roalsvig and Stephen Svoboda.

The Arts Center’s Living Able program returns with the musical production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, featuring performers from throughout the Adirondacks partnered with adults with disabilities from Sunmount DDSO. The show features “an average day in the life of Charlie Brown,” made up of little moments picked from the classic cartoon strip, from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human). Don’t miss this unique, magical, and moving theatrical event!

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend and pay tribute to our brave soldiers and their courageous families with this award winning musical. This is the story of Jen and her relationships with the two Johns of her life: her younger brother, who was killed in Vietnam, and his namesake, her son who is trying to find his way in a confusing world. With a cast of only two people, JOHN & JEN is a tour-de-force for two actors who take them from childhood, through adolescence and beyond. Bass Lure Whittling Workshop
